The relevance extraction apparatus for extracting the relationships between physiological information which applies the cellular automata theory

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for extracting the relevance between pieces of biological information and compressing data by applying cellular automaton theory. SOLUTION: Relevance between elements is extracted on the basis of biological information constituted of a plurality of elements in the relevance extracting device. The relevance extracting device is provided with: a relevance expressing means for expressing relevance by correlating a function indicating a rule in the K-neighborhood of a prescribed N-state based on the cellular automaton theory with each kind of relevance between a group of the elements in the K-neighborhood of the N-state and another element by using the biological information; and a relevance extracting means for extracting the group of elements with fixed relevance in the K-neighborhood of the N-state.
