PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a net classification device capable of efficiently designing a circuit pattern with good circuit characteristics. ;SOLUTION: Based on nets 22 and required specifications 24, nets 22 are grouped (classification) (S2) through this net classification device. Based on a part library 26, the nets grouped in S2 are further classified (S4) according to net components. The virtual wiring length of wires constituting nets grouped in S4 is obtained, based on a part placement 27 and a part terminal placement 29. Nets are classified (S6) based on the results obtained. The net terminal locations are obtained from the part placement 27 and the part terminal placement 29.
