PURPOSE: To propose the suspension structure of a vibration damping device in a cableway transporter, suitable in the case of providing the cableway transporter with the vibration damping device. ;CONSTITUTION: In a cableway transporter 1 formed by suspending a passenger car 20 through a suspension hanger 10 from a suspension means such as a cable gripper 3 for gripping a cable 51, a vibration damping device 30 is suspension-fitted to the bottom face 24 of the passenger car 20 in an attitude effective in the right-angled direction to the proceeding direction of the passenger car 20. The vibration damping device 30 can thereby be installed without protruding from the upper vehicle limit of the transporter 1, and there is no fear of getting close to or coming in contact with transporter operating equipment. Since this fitting position is offset from the center-of-gravity position of the transporter 1, the vibration damping function of the vibration damping device 30 acts effectively so as to be able to obtain excellent vibration clamping effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
