The suspension assembly (20) comprises two storage devices (40), each of which includes two elastomeric bearings (45). The damping device is a shock absorber such as a gas pressure shock absorber. The damping characteristics or behavior of the damping device is controllable through a magnetorheological fluid or electrorheological fluid.
