PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for developing an application framework using a host framework whereby a high quality framework suited for developing an application program can be easily and efficiently developed.;SOLUTION: The upper framework 1 is prepared having an inter-object structure mechanism 11, a process executing mechanism 12, a function expanding mechanism 13, an error processing mechanism 14, an event reporting mechanism 15, a logging mechanism 16, a visualizing mechanism 17, and a configuration mechanism 18. Next, a framework developer defines components to create the framework 20 according to the principle of design of the framework 20 to be developed, by combining, objects included in the inter-object structure mechanism 11, the process executing mechanism 12, the function expanding mechanism 13, the error processing mechanism 14, the event reporting mechanism 15, the logging mechanism 16, the visualizing mechanism 17 and the configuration mechanism 18, either directly or while expanding the objects.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
