PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting base conditioner for adjusting pH of a planting base where plants are planted such as alkalized soil and to provide an adjusting method for pH of the planting base using the conditioner through lowering pH of a planting base such as soil with high pH to pH area enabling plants to grow and preventing pH from returning to the original alkaline value after the lapse of time. PSOLUTION: This planting base conditioner comprises a pH depressant for lowering pH of an alkaline planting base and a pH rising inhibitor for inhibiting the rise of pH of a planting base lowered by the addition of the pH depressant.
