PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional cavity filling method using the slurry material mainly including the cement with a fear of the soil pollution and the water pollution and with a problem of disposal of the industrial waste. SOLUTION: This method uses a means for filling an underground cavity with the dry powder and granular material mainly composed of the crushed stone fine powder and the coal ash by using an air flow. In practical, this method uses a means for filling the dry powder and granular material in a cavity from a powder and granular material transporting vehicle by using an air flow through a transportation pipe arranged at one end of the cavity, and on the other hand, for sucking the air inside of the cavity by using a vacuum vehicle through an air discharge pipe arranged at the other end of the cavity, or a means for flowing the dry powder and granular material by using an air flow from a powder and granular material transporting vehicle through a transportation pipe having a slit-like opening opened downward and arranged to the depth end of the cavity.
