PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the light quantity of a light-emitting part based on the distance of a person from a telephone and ambient brightness and to make a user adjustable the light quantity of the light-emitting part.;SOLUTION: A person detection part 1 outputs data the distance to the person, and a brightness detection part 2 outputs the ambient brightness data, and a processing part 4 instructs for the light emission of a light quantity specified by a perspective rank corresponding to the distance data and a light/shade rank corresponding to the brightness data, and makes a light emission quantity control part 6 illuminate the light-emitting part 7. Then, a perspective threshold value for deciding the perspective rank corresponding to the distance data and a light/shade threshold value for deciding the light/shade rank corresponding to the brightness data are stored beforehand in a threshold storage part 5, and the processing part 4 updates these thresholds with the distance data and brightness data when the user adjusts the light quantity of the light-emitting part 7 by a light-emitting quantity adjustment part 8 as a new perspective threshold and new light/shade threshold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
