PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for monitoring and updating a position sensor with respect to a time.;SOLUTION: This method includes a step 2 for acquiring a vehicle data signal, a step 2 for acquiring a position sensor offset data signal in response to the stored position offset data signal, a step 4 for determining whether an initial condition of the algorithm is satisfied or not, a step 6 for formulating the new position offset data signal conditioned to compensate the initial condition, and a step 8 for combining the new position offset data signal with the stored position offset data signal, and storing the new position offset data signal to be replaced for the stored offset data signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
