PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality factor inductor.;SOLUTION: In an inductor structure to be applied to a voltage controlled oscillator, the inductor is composed of a substrate having an upper surface and a lower surface, a ground plane disposed on the lower surface of the substrate and coupled to a ground potential, a microstrip line disposed on the upper surface of the substrate and a conductor coupled to the ground potential parallel to the microstrip line, and the quality factor of the inductor is improved by decreasing the proximate effect of the microstrip line and decreasing the loss of signal output.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
