PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable terminal equipment to speedily take in information that the equipment held before a short circuit occurs after recovering from the short circuit if a fire receiver stops the power supply to the terminal equipment such as a relay because of the short-circuiting of a power and signal line. ;SOLUTION: A reception part detects a short circuit by measuring the voltage of the power and signal line, cuts off the power supply to the power and signal line after detecting the short circuit, and restarts supplying electric power to the power and signal line a specific time later; when the reception part does not detect the short circuit any more, fire alarm facilities continuously supplies the electric power to the power and signal line. When the power supply is cut off on detecting the short circuit and then the electric power is continuously supplied, control contents for controlled equipment that the reception part stored before the power supply is stopped are sent out by the reception part to the relay, which takes the sent control contents in.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
