PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a microlens so as to prevent production of air bubbles, to provide a laminating device of a substrate, and to provide a microlens and an optical pickup.;SOLUTION: The method for making a microlens includes a process of forming a concave face 104 in a first transparent substrate having the refractive index n, a process of casting a UV-curing resin 103 having the refractive index n' (≠n) onto the concave face 104, and a process of laminating a flat transparent second substrate 102 on the first substrate 101 with the UV-curing resin 103 interposed.
