PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-chemical machining electrode capable of precisely and stably keeping a specified machining shape, and an electro-chemical machining method using the electro-chemical machining electrode.;SOLUTION: An exposure surface opposite to a workpiece of a metallic base material 11 structuring an electrode tool 21 is covered with a conductive coat 1 made from metal having a ionization tendency smaller than copper and nickel, metal having high corrosion resistance to an electrolyte such as chromium, or an alloy mainly composed of these. In this structure, a coat due to oxidation is prevented from being formed on a conductive portion 1a surface, and specified machining amount and machining precision can be kept for a long term. The electro-chemical machining using the electrode tool 21 conducts machining by using the electrode tool 21 having the conductive portion 1a with high corrosion resistance, thereby suppressing a reaction such as oxidation on the electrode tool 21 surface.
