PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet which effectively reduces a hysteresis loss, without fear for corrosion of a furnace body, rusting on sheet products, nor lack of purification in secondary recrystallization annealing, and which shows improved iron loss characteristics.;SOLUTION: This grain-oriented silicon steel sheet includes 1.5-7.0 mass% Si, has the angle of a face {110} of secondary recrystallized grains against the sheet surface, which is controlled to 2-8 degree by weighted mean of area, has the flat surface of 0.4 μm or less by Ra (arithmetic mean roughness specified in JIS), has the total weight of carbide, sulfide and selenide (C+S+Se) in the steel, which are regulated to 35 ppm or less by weight, and has hysteresis loss Wh_1.7 of 0.35 W/kg or less.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
