PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of the quality of a resin due to penetration of external air from a gap between a movable part of a kneading degree regulating mechanism and a cylinder. SOLUTION: The present twin-screw continuous kneading machine has the cylinder 2 having a supply port 5 and a discharge port 6, two screws 3 provided rotatably in the cylinder 2 and a rotating drive means 4 for rotating the screws 3, and has a transport part A, kneading parts B and C, a vent part E and a discharge part F sequentially from the supply port 5 side to the discharge port 6 side. By disposing the kneading degree regulating mechanism C between the kneading parts B and D, the degree of filling of the molten resin in the cylinder 2 on the upstream and downstream sides of the mechanism C is raised. The mechanism C is so constituted that the opening of an opening-variable passage changes when a rotary stopper 8 fitted rotatably in a guide hole 7 of the cylinder 2 is rotated normally or reversely at prescribed rotational angles.
