PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a learner to easily learn at any time and at any place by easily obtaining just a desired amount of a teaching material when some free time is available.;SOLUTION: A portable terminal 3 downloads just a required amount of teaching material data 13 of a course each time the learner desires to audit. A unit data transmitting means 22 of a server 4 transmits the teaching material data 13 to the portable terminal 3 via a network 1. An auditing history acquiring means 23 acquires the auditing history of the corresponding learner each time the teaching material data 13 is transmitted. A learner managing means 24, based on the auditing history, manages the progress state and auditing fee of the correspondence education of each learner. Since the teaching material data 13 consisting of the teaching material 21 divided into short units can be downloaded in a very short time, the learner can start auditing promptly when the learner desires to audit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
