PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a electro-optical device, an electro-optical device and electronic equipment using the electro-optical device capable of displaying a high quality image by optimizing material constituting a color filter layer and improving a voltage holding characteristic.;SOLUTION: As a compounding ratio of a dispersant is changed from low concentration to high concentration between pigment and a dispersant in a pigment dispersing element for a color filter, a first high viscosity composition region C1 where the pigment dispersing element becomes high viscosity, low viscosity composition region C2 where the pigment dispersing element becomes low viscosity, and a second high viscosity composition region C3 where the pigment dispersing element becomes high viscosity appear, and a voltage holding rate is high in the low viscosity composition region C2. Then, if pigment and a dispersant are blended with a compounding ratio corresponding to the low viscosity composition region C2 to form a color filter layer, a voltage holding characteristic can be improved in the electro-optic device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
