U-SHAPED SNAKE CONVEYER WINDING LIKE SNAKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase conveyance quantity with a filling factor of 70% or higher and convey on a curve with a diameter of 300 times or more and a plane round angle of 40 degrees or larger and to prevent drop of loads.;SOLUTION: A belt makes a deep U-shape (or V-shape) and upper end of the belt 15 has some expanse accordingly to increase the filling factor. The belt is supported by a belt side face holding roller 13 and a carrier roller 11. By holding the belt side face at end parts, the belt is prevented from folding inside. Inclination inside a conveyer frame 10 prevents sliding up of the belt. Holding of the U-shaped belt enables a horizontal conveyance even with a small round shape without drop of loads. Since this shape allows folding into right and left at several places, the conveyer can be united in a place such as a narrow valley where many conventional belt conveyers are needed and connections with several conveyers are dispensed with.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
