PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for expressing a protein having a signal sequence in the base sequence of a gene while keeping the state of possessing the signal sequence, and immobilizing the protein having the signal sequence on a carrier, and further to provide the carrier having the protein expressed in the state of possessing the signal sequence in the base sequence of the gene immobilized by the method, and a reagent for measuring a specimen by using the carrier.;SOLUTION: This method for immobilizing the protein is characterized in that the protein having the signal sequence in the base sequence of the gene is expressed while keeping the state of possessing the signal sequence, and the protein having the signal sequence is immobilized on the carrier. The carrier is obtained by immobilizing the protein having the signal sequence in the base sequence of the gene in the state of possessing the signal sequence.
