PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To render an edited part and project it as an image on a three- dimensional object and a scene in a real time for giving a desired appearance and virtual motion to a three-dimensional physical object and the scene.;SOLUTION: In this method operated by a computer, firstly, motion of the three-dimensional physical object stationary in the changeless scene is simulated by acquiring three-dimensional graphics models of the three-dimensional physical object and the scene. A projector is positioned to the three-dimensional physical object, the scene, and the three-dimensional models. Subsequently, the models are segmented into a plurality of parts, and for reflecting the desired appearance and virtual motion of the parts, the respective parts are edited by means of a graphics authoring tool.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
