PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supersonic molecular jet spectroscopic analysis method and apparatus for performing mass spectrometry in dioxins safely and with high sensitivity using an extremely small amount of sample. ;SOLUTION: An organic solvent is added to fly ash and activated carbon fine particles containing dioxin from an incineration furnace or the like as a solution sample, the solution sample is allowed to face a carrier gas jetting nozzle in a vacuum chamber in the supersonic molecular jet spectroscopic analysis apparatus for feeding and evaporating the solvent, a pulse laser is applied to a remaining solid sample for vaporization and carrying into the carrier gas, a wavelength-variable laser is applied at the downstream for ionizing the sample, and further ions are acceleration by an extraction electrode for measuring the flight time until the ions reach the detector in the supersonic molecular jet spectroscopic analysis method and apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
