In the present invention there is disclosed an automatic anti-fall device (1) that is able to slide, without requiring any additional operation on a lanyard (2) fixed to a point situated above the anti-fall device (1), and connected to a user or a load. The device comprises a clamping cam (7) for safe clamping the lanyard (2) and a detecting roller (10) with an initial acceleration or an initial velocity of the lanyard (2) relative to the device (1). Said detecting roller (10) and said clamping cam (7) are independent components, whereby the detecting roller (10) is mounted in the clamping cam (7) for pressing thereof in the direction of clamping and for providing contact of the detecting roller (10) with a means for restricting rotation thereof, whereby said means is disposed on the clamping cam (7).
