The invention provides a composition for diffusionin the air of an enclosure to be treated to combat thebacteria contained in the air of said enclosure. Thecomposition comprises 2-phenylphenol and natural and/orsynthetic thymol dissolved in a solvent comprisingisopropyl alcohol, for example. The invention alsoprovides a method of combating the bacteria in the air ofan enclosure to be treated, which method comprises a stepof diffusing said antibacterial composition into the airof said enclosure. Finally, the invention provides theuse of a catalytic combustion flask for implementing sucha method.Figure 2
