The device is for attaching an alarm system to a door or window (1) locked to a frame (2) by at least one lock bolt (8) forming part of a lock unit (9), where the bolt extends between the door or window and the frame via an intermediate gap (6). The door or window has an inside (5) facing the room (3) which it closes and the device incorporates a component (11) of hardened glass, which granulates on being damaged. On this component is an electrical coil (12) coupled to an alarm circuit, which it releases if broken through the component being crushed. The component is fitted in a track (17) parallel with the inside of the door or window extends into the door or window from an edge surface (7) on the door or window.
