CRYOPRESERVATION MEDIUM FOR PRIMATE EMBRYO STEM CELLS AND CRYOPRESERVATION METHOD

It is intended to provide a liquid for frozen storage and a frozen storagemethod whereby primate embryo stem cells can be conveniently stored in afrozen state at a high survival rate. A liquid for frozen storage of primateembryo stem cells characterized by containing a frozen protecting agent at aconcentration of from 12% (W/V) to 50% (W/V). A frozen storage method forprimate embryo stem cells which comprises the step of suspending primateembryo stem cells in the liquid for frozen storage as described above, thecooling step of freezing the liquid for frozen storage containing the primateembryo stem cells suspended therein by cooling to -80~C at a rate of 0.5 to10~C per minute, and the storage step of storing the thus frozen liquid forfrozen storage containing the primate embryo stem cells suspended therein at -80~C or lower. Thus, primate embryo stem cells can be conveniently stored in afrozen state at a high survival rate.
