A gene which is useful in searching for a therapeutic agent which restores tissue that suffered damage in a renal disease, a polypeptide encoded by the gene and an antibody which recognizes the polypeptide, are provided.;A gene whose expression level changes depending on progression and recovery of the pathology in a proliferative glomerulonephritis model animal is obtained, and a polypeptide encoded by the gene and an antibody which recognizes the polypeptide are produced. These gene, polypeptide and antibody can be used in the search for an agent for restoring kidney tissue that suffered damage and an agent for diagnosing kidney disorder.
