PURPOSE: A process for preparing a functional food and medicinal liquor using Chinese pea tree is provided. The prepared functional food and medicinal liquor are useful for treatment of podagra, arthritis and neuralgia. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing a functional food and medicinal liquor using Chinese pea tree comprises the steps of: boiling Chinese pea tree to obtain its extract or concentrating the Chinese pea tree extract under vacuum to prepare Chinese pea tree powder; adding the Chinese pea tree extract or the Chinese pea tree powder into a food to prepare a functional food; and adding distilled liquor having alcohol concentration of 25%(Soju) into natural Chinese pea tree or mixing Soju with the Chinese pea tree extract or powder to prepare the medicinal liquor.
