Internal voltage generator capable of suppressing overshoot and undershoot of internal voltage and internal voltage generating method thereof

PURPOSE: An inner voltage generation circuit and a method for generating the inner voltage are provided to prevent an overshoot and an undershoot of the inner voltage. CONSTITUTION: An inner voltage generation circuit capable of preventing an overshoot and an undershoot of the voltage includes a PMOS driving transistor, a first comparator(32), a second comparator(33), a first switch(34) and a second switch(35). In the inner voltage generation circuit, the PMOS driving transistor outputs the inner voltage from the drain thereof, a first comparator(32) compares the inner voltage with the voltage lower than the reference voltage by the offset voltage and the second comparator(33) compares the inner voltage with the voltage higher than the reference voltage by the offset voltage. The first switch(34) transmits the output signal of the first comparator(32) as the driving signal in response to the first control signal and the second switch(35) transmits the output signal of the second comparator(33) as the driving signal in response to the second control signal.
