PURPOSE: A hometown contents and community service method and system is provided to offer hometown contents to persons from the same town, and to enable them to chat with themselves over a network. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a hometown community server(101), a database server(103), a shopping mall server(105), a network(107), a delivery company(109), a user terminal(111), and a manager terminal(115). The hometown community server(101) provides photos, notifications, indigenous product data and others related to a hometown to the user terminal(111) and the manager terminal(115). The database server includes a hometown photo database(118), a hometown information database(119), a hometown community database(121), and an indigenous product information database(123). The database server(103) stores hometown photos, hometown moving picture or sound data, hometown community data, indigenous product data and member data. The shopping mall server(105) enables members to buy indigenous products over a network.
