PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for recognizing information with respect to major internet connection sites of internet users are provided for temporarily storing the information into a log file and storing into a database server at a time period in order to thereby effectively manage the internet users by obtaining a preference of the users. CONSTITUTION: A time required for transmitting information with respect to an internet connection site of a certain group is set(S100). System environment information is loaded(S102). Information with respect to an internet connection site of the group is temporarily stored into a log file of a personal computer of each internet user(104). The system is initialized for implementing a dynamic data exchange(S106). It is judged as to whether a browser is activated(S108). If the browser is activated, the routine goes to the step S110, and the data with respect to whether the internet user is connected with a certain internet site using the browser is received. The received data is analyzed(S112).
