METHOD FOR DETECTING STERNHEIMERMALBIN'S CELLS IN PATIENTS WITH PYELONEPHRITIS

FIELD: medicine, urology. SUBSTANCE: urine is sampled at volume of 10 ml, centrifuged for 5 min at 2000 rot./min, supernatant layer is removed out of centrifugate at volume of 9 ml, drop of distilled water and 0.1 ml dyeing solution are added to the rest 1 ml urinary residue, moreover, dyeing solution contains mixture of 30 ml acetic acid, 2 ml fuchsin solution in alcohol at components' ratio of 1:10 diluted up to 100 ml distilled water, then tube's content is mixed by shaking and kept at room temperature for 10 min, then it should be mixed once more and microscoped by qualitatively evaluating morphological properties of urinary leukocytes and at availability of bright claret-colored cells of usual size with indistinct nucleus one should detect inactive leukocytes, at availability of non-dyed cells enlarged twice or thrice against usual cellular size with peripheral multilobular nucleus and Brownian movement of granularity granules one should detect Sternheimer-Malbin's cells. EFFECT: higher accuracy and information value of detection.
