The line driver circuit (1) has a pair of input terminals (2,3) for application of an input signal, coupled to the inverting and non-inverting inputs (5,8) of a fully differential operational amplifier (6), for driving a line signal delivered via a signal line. The amplification of the line driver circuit is determined via setting resistances (4,7) between the input terminals and the operational amplifier inputs, with feedback resistances (20,21; 22,23) between each operational amplifier output and the corresponding input and between each operational output and the opposite input. The output impedance of the line driver circuit is matched to the line impedance.
