A retaining clip (1) is disclosed, for fixing at least one line (2), such as an electric cable, a fuel line, a brake line, or the like to a support (3). The retaining clip (1) thus comprises at least one bearing area (4) for the line (2) and one retaining area (5) for fixing to the support (3). According to the invention, the retaining area (5) is formed by a base part (6) and a closure part (7), whereby the latter is preferably embodied, at least partly as a strip. The invention is particularly suited to fixing lines (2) to supports (3) in motor vehicles without said support (3) requiring a particular fixing structure, such as a hole or a bolt. The support itself can be a brake line or a fuel line, for example, which is already installed in the motor vehicle.
