The device for the fastening of tensioning elements such as straps, cords, or suchlike in the load holding space of a vehicle has holding or fastening elements (3.1) which are detachably connected to a rail and movable along it. The holding element is part of a clip (1.1) which fits in the rail. The holding element is a small bar, and the clip has a mounting (2.1) in which is installed the holding element. The mounting is in the shape of a U, with legs (10,11) installed on the outer sides of the side walls (6,7).
