Process for rolling parallel flanged steel profiles comprises using a compact rolling group consisting of a first universal roll stand, an upsetting structure and a second universal roll stand. The rollers of the structures have rolling surfaces which are inclined or vertical to the roller axles. Vertical rollers are inclined by 0-10 degrees from each other in the first universal roll stand. Reduction of the rolling stock occurs in the second universal roll stand having horizontal rollers. Preferred Features: The outer ball length of the horizontal rollers in the second universal roll stand corresponds to the chamber inner dimension of the H-profile of the carrier to be rolled.
