Retail sale ice cream serving scoop has rubber buffer and scissor-action counter

A prior art scissor-grip ice cream serving scoop incorporates a rubber ring buffer on the hand grip near the pivot. The scissor action hand-grip has an opening angle-limiter. The hand grip further has a scissor-action counter (8). An Independent claim is also included for a process for serving ice cream with the scoop in which the scoop is lifted from a holding pot and a portion of ice cream is served in the conventional way. The scoop is then placed in a water-filled washing pot, rinsed, removed and then, applying the rubber buffer, knocked against a suitable hard surface e.g. water pot shaking off water droplets.
