Apparatus comprises a speech recording and playback unit (B1 linking to the car stereo control unit to control turning down or muting of the stereo and the reminder recorder, and an audio selection unit allowing users to record or broadcast instructions or reminding speeches. It has a speech recorder (B2), reminder recorder (B3), a second audio selection unit (B4) for restricting audio signals output from the recorders, an audio mixer (B5) (or switch or external speaker), microphone (B6) and audio processing units (B7,B8). There is a human interface on the steering wheel (E1) and an infra-red light remote control unit.
