Motor vehicle parking brake has an improved design with an axial lever movement that has a high lever ratio so that it can be made compactly and less expensively
Brake has a handgrip (2), coupling (3), a brake cable (4), which is tensioned by displacement of the handgrip, and a positioning device (17) to hold the grip in a fixed position. The handgrip has guide bars (5, 7) with which it is pulled away from a mounting frame (6). A transfer unit (8) is coupled to the frame with which the axial displacement of the handgrip is transmitted to the brake cable.
