A single coal polyurethane adhesive which satisfies the present need for an adhesive giving especially quick adhesion to materials, especially wood, and containing polyisocyanate prepolymer and at least one aminopolyether polyol, where the mole ratio of ether groups to amino nitrogen in the aminopolyether polyolis 7-30 is new. An Independent claim is included for preparation of the adhesive by mixing the polyisocyanate prepolymer (PIP) with at least one aminopolyether polyol (APEP) or a polyisocyanate preparation in the presence of at least one aminopolyether polyol, containing at least one further catalyst as well as the aminopolyether polyol.
