The blade guide unit (18) fulfils several functions and transfers bearing force onto the blade by means of a spring and also shields the blade from torsional load. The unit (18) also prevents the blade from pivoting round its long axis. The guide unit (18) has a pivotal guide bow (22) which in turn provides the bearing force to hold the blade to the screen and has a first surface (24) as guiding plane which when assembled stands perpendicular to the screen surface being wiped.
