An air channel (10) is built into an uppermost part of a pitched roof (24) of a building (26) to pass directly through. A wind turbine (12) driven by air flowing through drives a power generator (16) by means of a drive transmission element (14). At the outlets (10A,10B) of the air channel there can be wind directing devices in the form of wind scoops (20A,20B).
