Each of the crutches is designed as a telescopic vertical bar (2) with an elbow support section at its upper end and a handle (1) protruding horizontally from the bar (2) at the front. For temporary storage the crutches can be joined with a device (3) attached to the front surface of the handle (1) and slightly below the handle (1) to the vertical bar (2) in order to form a stable unit to be leant against a wall or other suitable area. The device (3) is provided with matching patches of Velcro (RTM) (3.1), attached to the front of the handle (1) and a hose clip (3.2) at the opposite end to be joined to the vertical bar (2).
