Support arm (12) holds carriage (13) which supports flash or other light element (14), which is displaced in stepless way inside reflector screen to focus the light. One end of drive element (17) is connected to carriage and manually moved by hand wheel or driven by motor. Light is displaced from front, open side of reflector screen (1). During displacement, no side force is applied to screen, so screen does not have to be retained during adjustment of light position. The drive element (17) is a rope, belt or toothed chain connected to the carriage (13) and manually guided over deflection rollers (18,19). Alternatively drive element is a threaded spindle with hand wheel or drive element (17) is moved by motor.
