The slide track (1) has a guide element (4) having a sliding surface for the standing of objects (6), and fasteners (5) to fix the slide track to the wall (2) of a flight of stairs, whereby the inclination of the sliding surface conforms to the inclination of the stairs (3). The guide element is in the form of a wooden board with its upper surface forming the slide surface. The guide element has running grooves extending in the longitudinal direction and opening onto the slide surface. The running grooves are identically constructed with their cross sections constant over the length of the guide element.
