Pencil sharpener has a rotating insert sleeve to grip the contour of the pencil

A pencil sharpener has a blade mounted into a support block and with a hole to insert the pencil. The insert hole is fitted with a rotating sleeve (2) with an inner contour to match the shape of the pencil, e.g. round, hexagonal, triangular etc. The grip sleeve is made of an elastic material which does not damage the outer surface of the pencil. For round profiles a number of elastic grip rings secure the fitting. The sharpener can be used for wood or plastic bodied pencils, for crayons, chalk, cosmetic pencils or other similar items.
