The heat and power plant comprises a steam generator (5), a steam circuit with a feed water pump (4), a feed water tank (3), main steam control valve and a condenser (6), and a screw motor (1) incorporated in the steam circuit to drive a generator (2). A separate condenser is provided for the mixture of seal air and steam emerging from the labyrinth seal of the screw motor, and is independent of the main condenser in the steam circuit. The separate condenser is connected to a circuit for at least one heat consumer (7).
