Preparing human immunoglobulin (Ig) concentrate (A) for therapeutic use comprising: (a) precipitation of lipid and protein contaminants from plasma, or its Ig-enriched fraction; and (b) a single anion-exchange chromatography step, performed at alkaline pH so that Ig are retained, is new.
