The method for acoustically insulating a cavity (C) in a car body comprises filling it with flakes (71) of open-celled foam. These are poured into the cavity from a flexible bag (1) of the same volume as the cavity which is filled with flakes. An Independent claim is included for a car body insulated using the method.
