A data storage device comprises an itinerary database which includes touristic itinerary curves, with each curve corresponding to at least a part of a geographical zone and comprising data relating to areas of interest to visitors and tourists. Such areas of interest comprise: sport, culture, shopping, leisure, lodgings, or combinations of them. An Independent claim is made for a method for extracting itinerary curves from a database associated with a multimedia tourist guide.
