Dataset transmission method for transmission of e.g. tourist information, to e.g. motor vehicle, involves transmitting data packets from transmission devices to combine packets in reception device during passing of devices to dataset

The method involves dividing a dataset (30) into small data packets (DP1-DPn) before transmission of the dataset, and providing each data packet with target characteristic value. The data packets are periodically transmitted from a number of stationary transmission devices to combine the data packets in a reception device of a movable object e.g. motor vehicle, during passing of the transmission devices to the dataset, where the transmission devices are provided longitudinal to paths. The transmission takes place using infrared-signals and each packet is provided with a checksum and signature. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement for wireless transmission of dataset using short-distance signal transmission (2) a transmission device for a dataset transmission arrangement (3) a reception device for a dataset transmission arrangement.
